Riding Program at Murray Farm

Interested in riding horses? From beginner to professional we have a place for you!

Our teaching uses dressage based principles to create a stacked, balanced, engaged, correct, communicative, safe and effective seat!

This program includes horsemanship, horse-care and management, groundwork, in-hand work, exercises for the rider, biomechanics and biotensegrity integrated in proprioceptive devices such as slack lines, skateboards, Franklin balls, resistance bands, and more!

In learning with each other we can then communicate more freely with our animals. Experimenting and playing with how the body moves – where are our restrictions – so we can target our individual needs and how creating a foundation of stability produces a relaxed harmony in the horse/rider relationship

Standard Barn Hours:

8:30 -11 am Monday – Saturday

3:30-6pm Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday

*summer barn hours subject to change

Barn hours occur rain or shine! There is a lot of groundwork, therapies, in-hand work and theory that we really dig into on the less than perfect weather days. Don’t miss out on a deeper understanding of horses by skipping these opportunities!

Lesson Pricing

Pay By the Lesson: $85/lesson due at time of lesson

***Cancellations required 24 hours in advance or will incur a $20 fee***

Lesson: $65

Horse Lease Fee: $20 – goes towards the daily needs of the horse including board, feed, farrier and vet

Weekly Lesson Package: $65/week paid by the month in advance – I am waiving the horse lease fee for 2 reasons

1 – the monthly commitment helps to create a predictable schedule and commitment even in bad weather and over holidays. Makeups will be allowed, but will not replace lesson costs for future months.

2 – I really want to encourage everyone to take ownership of your time with these wonderful animals. Waiving this fee is my gift, in the hopes that it creates an atmosphere of gratitude towards my horses, equipment and property

Payment is required at date of invoice and will incur a $20/fee per week overdue

*Available with a Weekly Lesson Package:
